A lot of people loves traditional housing style. Although there are now a lot of more modern and contemporary designs, nowadays people are starting to consider traditional housing again and even mix the sense of traditional design on their contemporary and modern housing designs. Things are moving back and forth, but although times never come back, the old school traditional houses are still very popular. What makes them so lovable? And, is it really just the look? Or are there some other things else that we’d never really noticed before?
Living in modern house means that you have a comfortable and luxurious lifestyle; you can have car, great big screen of TV, DVD and CD players, radio, PlayStation, computer, and all that expensive electronic devices that no old traditional houses have. These entertaining accomodations of course make you feel happy and keeping you entertained with a lot of shows and information to keep you up to date; then why are people buying old traditional houses?
But the previous point of view is nonsense. Of course in this era, you can install electronic devices anywhere you want despise the style of your house; all you need is to buy the devices, call the experts to install, and sit back and relax: why can’t we? And yes it might make you happy, but does it make you easy? High fashioned fancy apartments might be luxurious and comfortable, but it might not be as comfortable as you think it is. There are some certain discomfort that you always feel in that kind of athmosphere: you have to always be in fashion in order to be accepted. There’s no such thing in traditional houses; you can wear your singlet and shorts and no one there to tell you what to wear; you will never feel like judged in this kind of house.
Timeless; that’s the answer of all questions regarding to the choice of picking traditional houses rather than modern styles. There is a value of tradition, a value of nostalgia and a value of memory that lies within traditional housing. There’s always a hidden treasure behind every traditional house and it always seems that there’s an adventure within every step and every turn in a traditional house. Traditional house offers warmth like the one your old family always embraces you with. There’s always something unexpected with old buildings, and that might be your adventurous reason to purchase a traditional house.
But remember, traditional doesn’t always mean old. You can just style up your common house into a traditional hut whenever you want. There are just some elements that you need to keep in mind: the togetherness. Old traditional houses tend to have a lot of memories of togetherness in it. To compete with this, put family portrait hanging on wooden frames on your wall and put some too on your tables. Add simple floral arrangement to add cozziness to your house; some gerbera, maybe? Floral prints are an easy access towards traditional house: try some floral curtains and sofa cushion, and have fun!
